Lovely area under the trees, higher up. We hiked to the General Grant tree from our campground.

We spent the remaining nights in the Cedar Grove area, which is down in Kings Canyon itself. We stayed in the Canyon View campground, next to a little meadow, and a short stroll from the Kings River.

If you go, I highly recommend the Zumwalt Meadow hike. Easy hike but incredibly beautiful.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08542931247957198888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13933449.post-34089551474296908542008-10-25T09:53:00.000-07:002008-10-25T09:53:00.000-07:00we'll probably go to king's canyon next year - whe...we'll probably go to king's canyon next year - where do you camp?casacaudillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17737547597204258314noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13933449.post-41424749824208241522008-10-13T12:34:00.000-07:002008-10-13T12:34:00.000-07:00What a beautiful place for a camping trip! What a beautiful place for a camping trip!Lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16012970192554238143noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13933449.post-26757891161938030262008-10-11T10:44:00.000-07:002008-10-11T10:44:00.000-07:00Beautiful photographs!Beautiful photographs!Sandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11071236024242050143noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13933449.post-4206496616506971832008-10-02T11:25:00.000-07:002008-10-02T11:25:00.000-07:00Thanks for the kind words. That's one of the prettiest, easiest hikes around, with beauty all around you every step of the way.

I'd love to get back to Rocky Mountain NP. And Zion, and Bryce, and Yellowstone, and Capitol Reef, and... and all the national parks I haven't been to yet, too.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08542931247957198888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13933449.post-4691665826600267332008-10-01T19:05:00.000-07:002008-10-01T19:05:00.000-07:00I like the pic of the grass!I like the pic of the grass!A.
