I've run compost piles/heaps (some of which had to be turned with a tractor), and I find that getting everything small really makes a difference to the smell, if nothing else.

Pretty quickly is in the nose of the beholder, AFAIAC. We've got enough green and brown to work with most of the food, but I'd like to simplify/shorten the process if I can.Yogihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18149759309589778285noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13933449.post-27943907695347959432009-02-26T12:08:00.000-08:002009-02-26T12:08:00.000-08:00I don't know that you need to. I don't have any personal experience with it, but it sounds like a great idea for urban dwellers or those like us with not enough dry stuff to add to the mix.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08542931247957198888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13933449.post-35221965590522491722009-02-26T09:03:00.000-08:002009-02-26T09:03:00.000-08:00For years I have been trying to figure out a way t...For years I have been trying to figure out a way to use the disposer to grind up the organics, and then use them for compost. Any ideas?Yogihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18149759309589778285noreply@blogger.com
